What is hydro-seeding

Hydro-seeding, or hydro-lawn as it is somethings know by,  is a cost effective way of achieving a healthy lawn when compared to turf, with costs as low as just 10% of turf supply & installation. 

Hydro-seeding  uses a combination of a mulch mixture, seed and fertilizer to give the  best environment for germination. This is achieved by: - 

• The mulch mixture bonding to the soil to limit erosion.
• The mulch helps retain moisture closer to the seed, aiding in a quick and consistent seed strike rate.
• Mulch layer restricts weed growth during early days of germination,
• Even seed application to limit a patchy lawn.
• Germination can start as soon as 5 days, instead of the normal 10-14 days from seed casting.

We use a pre-emergent product within our mulch mix which dramatically reduces weed growth while the grass establishes. This not only creates a great weed-free lawn but it saves on cost of removing the weeds at a later date, which can cause needless stress to the juvenile seed.

We have access to 100's of different seed blends using a range of rye, fescue & browntop seed with the ability to mix seeds to specific needs.

We use a range of wood fibre mulch which enable us to tackle near on vertical slopes with high erosion control ratings. 

For areas of poor soil quality, we have products that can bring the soil up to a level to enable growth of grass, at a fraction of the cost of installing top-soil.
